This Mid Century teak sideboard with dansette legs has been restyled using a customised print of the classic drawing by Mark Catesby taken from The Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library. It consists of two sloping drawers over a double cupboard, one with a shelf, all in good working order. The teak top and bottom have been stripped back and finished in Osmo PolyX oil, which really brings out the richness of the wood. The sides, legs and drawers have been hand painted in an elegant coal black with the front & drawer interiors decoupaged and then sealed with layers of varnish. The original brass handles and leg caps shave restored beautifully and look really eye catching.
This is a bespoke sideboard of lovely proportions that would make a statement in any room.
Having over 20 years experience in design I pride myself on a high quality finish. All of my furniture is meticulously cleaned and sympathetically restored. Previously loved items must be in perfect working order but it should be noted they rarely come without any signs of their history, this only adds to the charm and character.
